Form drag (aka pressure drag) is the portion of aerodynamic drag that depends on the shape of the object. For example, a flat plate has a higher form drag than a sphere with the same frontal area. In an airplane, form drag depends not only on the frontal area and shape of the fuselage and wing (i.e. the airfoils shapes), but also on the presence, size and shape of other elements like engine nacelles and fairings (for covering wing roots, landing gears, or other).
