Achieve universal primary education

Every child has the right to go to school; however, there are currently about 72 million children out of school. Nearly half of those children live in sub-Saharan Africa (UNESCO estimates). Literacy can help eradicate poverty, achieve gender equality, and ensure sustainable development, peace and democracy.
